About Us

ArtistsNelson.com is a community-based digital gallery founded by Ayden Lee, a student at L.V. Rogers Secondary School in Nelson, British Columbia.

The initiative was established to provide Nelson’s local artists, emerging creators, and established members of the community with a permanent and accessible platform for their work. Its purpose is to ensure that art is not lost after a class, an exhibition, or a single event, but preserved as part of a sustained cultural record.

The platform is centered on images and designed for clarity and accessibility. Artists may contribute paintings, drawings, photographs, and crafts. Each submission includes essential details such as title, description, and tags. Contributors retain full ownership of their work, while granting ArtistsNelson.com non-exclusive rights for exhibition. Every submission undergoes a brief moderation process to uphold copyright compliance and community standards.

ArtistsNelson.com is intended to function as more than a gallery. It is a living archive, documenting the growth and transformation of creativity within Nelson. By collecting a wide range of media and perspectives, it reflects the diversity of artistic expression across the community. Participation data and thematic trends will, over time, provide further insight into the evolution of Nelson’s cultural landscape.

At its core, ArtistsNelson.com is committed to creativity, inclusion, and long-term preservation. It is conceived as a democratic space, dedicated to safeguarding and amplifying the voices of Nelson’s artists for years to come.
